Company Background Information:
Romes design was started in August of 1998 and had as it’s goal to find a niche by providing more flexibility to our clients. We believe that projects are fluent, that the methods of design must be flexible, and that to best serve our clients we need to have a “can do” attitude.
This approach to project management has met with substantial success. In the first two years, the firm has tripled in size and has steadily increased our list of clients. Perhaps of more significance, the clients that were with us in 1998 are still working with us today.
Our project list has grown as well. In 1998, we had 27 projects; in 1999, we had 66 projects; in 2000 we had 77 projects and in 2010 we had 141 projects. We expect to continue to grow at as steady state. We believe that this steady growth is the best way to serve both existing and new clients.
Services include all facets of facility mechanical, plumbing and electrical design. We design the basics, like lighting, HVAC, plumbing and power distribution systems, as well as special systems such as fire protection, fire alarm, security, and nurse call systems. We also design technology systems, including data distribution, voice distribution and video distribution and we design renewable technology systems such as photovoltaic systems (PV), geothermal heating systems, and solar thermal water heating systems for domestic hot water production and building heating systems. We do not design industrial control systems, as we do not have the expertise to design them, but we will provide power and lighting support for new industrial installations and industrial buildings.
